Is Lil’ Wayne a vegetarian?

Good question and subject to debate. There are certainly lyrics supporting the Lil’ Wayne vegetarian theory: “OK, let’s talk about this ice that I’m carryin’/All these karats like I’m a fuckin’ vegetarian,” and “I am a vegetarian and I only eat beats/Wear a lot of karats and I smoke the best greens/No beef in my grocery bag just some swishes.”  And it’s not as though Lil’ Wayne would be the first vegetarian rapper (Masta Killa, Ghostface, Common). Then again, he also confesses to having a soft spot for chicken, macaroni, hoes and potato salad in “Crank Dat Weezy Wee.”

Given that the rapper is currently in jail, responding to a query about his dietary preferences seems to be a little low on the list of priorities. Nonetheless, a vegetarian Cash Money/brunch aficionado like yourself should check out these meat-free brunch spots next time you’re in town.
