French Toast with Fido
Dogs are one of mankind’s most beloved furry creatures and Humboldt Park’s third greatest source of pollution (broken glass bottles and CTA buses come in first and second, respectively). What better way to honor the companion that has recently replaced your significant other than afternoon brunch at a swanky hotel? R.I.P. Leona Helmsley.

C-View will be hosting its first annual Pup-A-Thon, a pre-marathon brunch party for you and your four-legged friend so often rejected from restaurants. Starting at 11:00 a.m., dogs and owners – who are all encouraged to get decked in their finest “fitness” garb – will meet at Seneca Park (228 E. Chicago Ave.). Once there, the group will make their way down the streets of Chicago to the “finish line” at C-View (166 E. Superior, 29th floor). Dog treats include Cheesy Bacon Sharks and Pupcakes, while owners can order brunch fare and themed SVEDKA Vodka cocktails including the Clementail and Pawberry Pup.
The Pup-A-Ton runs Sunday, October 4, 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. ; $30 per human guest (pups attend free). Price includes SVEDKA Vodka cocktails, C-House brunch bites, “doggie bags” filled with fun goodies for pets and owners to share and a donation to the Anti-Cruelty Society. Space is limited and reservations are required by calling Tails in the City at 312.649.0347.
