Loco for Xoco

Being that Xoco has been on the tip of every media outlet’s tongue for what seems like eternity, the restaurant’s September 8th opening is long overdue. Look, cut the guy a break. Rick Bayless is a Top Chef Master who spends half of his time in remote parts of Mexico drinking mezcal with shamans and shit. It’s a rough life.

The quick-serve, LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) restaurant will be serving breakfast bites from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. such as savory bread pudding, ginger lime muffins, tortas and — this is the best part — barbacoa, which involves an arduous slow-cooking process with delectable results.

Doors open on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast served until 10:00 a.m. on Tue.-Sat. Xoco is located at 449 N. Clark St.  in River North. For more information, call 312.334.3688.
