Three Sisters Garden potluck brunch benefit

Why choose one brunch restaurant when you can have a taste of twelve? On Sunday, August 23, some of Chicago’s finest are bringing their picnic baskets and coffee carafes to benefit local producer, Tracey Vowell at Three Sisters Garden.

Vowell was a chef at Frontera Grill and Topolobampo for seventeen years before leaving to start Three Sisters Garden. Due to the downturn in the economy, she is no longer able to deliver her local produce to Chicago restaurants. This fundraiser is to raise money for Three Sisters to buy a van so that their produce can be served at Red Light and other Chicago institutions. Help a sista out!

The potluck brunch will feature an eclectic mix of cuisines, including: hominy and eggs from Big Jones, chicken and mushroom dumplings from Urban Belly. Complimentary coffee from Intelligensia will be served, while specialty cocktails and Goose Island beers will be available for purchase.

The brunch will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23 at Red Light. Tickets are $50, in short supply and require reservations. Call 312.733.8880 for more information. Red Light is located at 820 W. Randolph St. in the West Loop.
