Groupon brunch deal: $5 for a $20 brunch at Flatwater
Groupon, a website that negotiates bargain discounts with restaurants, is offering brunch as the deal of the day: $5 gets you $20 toward a Saturday or Sunday Bossa Nova brunch at Flatwater.
From the site:
Located right by the river at 321 N Clark St., Flatwater’s brunch (complete with a live band) is like the breakfast they might serve in heaven, but only at God’s villa.
Try the crabcake benedict: a black-bean ragout and an old bay hollandaise sauce you’d betray your own country to taste. Or, how about calamari with spicy remoulade and Thai chili sauce? You can pretend you’re on Deadliest Catch and shove one of your friends in the river. It’ll be a perfect chance to steal his panzanella salad with heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil toco, and ciabatta crouton. And why not steal his wallet to pay for the meal? You’re already going to jail for assault.
Flatwater also serves PB&J sandwiches. No, the chef isn’t five years old. He makes it with homemade peanut butter, seasonal jam, and marshmallow fluff, served with pretzel rods and chocolate milk. And if you like food, you’ll love the pappardelle: shrimp with parmesan, rosemary broth, teardrop tomatoes, and roasted garlic; it’s so good, it made Dick Cheney cry even after he had his heart and tear ducts surgically removed.
At the time of posting, you have 64 hours left to grab this deal and 24 groupons left for everyone to eat PBJ’s.
